What Tuta (Tutanota) does
Tuta GmbH (formerly Tutanota) provides end-to-end encrypted email and calendar with EU-only data hosting. Founded in 2011, German-incorporated, owned by German individuals. The encryption model is deliberate — even Tuta cannot read customer email content.
How we use it
We use Tuta for our own internal team email — a small operational vote of confidence for the product. The integration on the customer side is the natural pairing of a sovereign-EU chat product with a sovereign-EU email product. Mutual partner-directory listing; no integration code yet, but the recommendation is honest.
Why this integration is on our list
Every entry in our integration directory is EU-incorporated. The sovereignty story breaks if any link in the chain is US-jurisdictional. Tuta (Tutanota) is part of the chain that lets us deliver the EU Pledge as a contractual commitment, not a marketing claim.
